ZUMBAPASSION is expanding and is happy to announce the addition to three new Zumba Instructors to our team: Tina Bajai, Sebrina Bromfield and Martina Orszag

WELCOME pretty ladies you are a fantastic addition to our classes. Tina and Sebrina will teach Saturday Zumba Classes and Martina will be teaching Monday and Wednesday Mornings at Taste of Colombia.

The Zumba Sentao™ workout takes the thrill of the fitness-party and partners it with explosive, chair-based choreography to strengthen, balance and stabilize your core, and step up your cardio work in a whole new way. Grab a chair, feel the beat and learn how to use your own body wight to enhance muscle strength, improve definition and endurance, and tone your physique. Strut, shake ad shimmy as you work your core (and work the chair) in a high-energy fitness-party that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

Zumba Sentao™ combines strength and resistance exercises with cool dance moves on and around a chair.
The class still has the rocking Zumba® party dance rhythms and international flavours.
You can let loose and boogie, with the extra bonus of a mega calorie burning strength workout.

Zumba® Fitness creator Beto Perez came up with the idea for Sentao™ when he arrived to demonstrate a Zumba® class in Italy and found eveyone sitting on chairs ready to 'watch' the show!

He quickly improvised and taught simple Zumba® routines in the chair. Then he got the 'class' up off the chair, moving around the chair, using the chair for simple toning and strength exercises. The 'class/viewers' loved it and Zumba Sentao™ was born.

Sentao is a Spanish slang word meaning sitting, from the verb sentarto sit.

Currently there are only a few hundred licensed Zumba Sentao™ instructors worldwide and we are one of them. We are very happy to bring  the program to you.

What I like most about the Zumba Sentao™ class is that you can super effectively work your core muscles. Your 'abs' and mid-section.

When you sit on the chair and lift your knee up, foot off the ground you activate your lower abdominals. Normally this kind of exercise is very hard for most people to do while lying on the ground (the dreaded V-sit or bicycle exercise).
It is much easier to do in a chair and very effective.

Sentao is also very functional. This means it is a great workout for everyday life and movement. How many times a day do you sit and stand? Do you need good balance and posture to get through your day without aches and pains?
The answer to both ques
tions is of course - YES!

Because Zumba Sentao™ is based around a chair it will be a great class for those who look at a regular Zumba class and think I could never do that! The addition of a chair make the class appear more comfortable and achievable for the beginner exerciser.

So when you see a Zumba Sentao™ class advertised - give it a go! You will be surprised and energized!
